There are various packages available for you to complete the PADI Divemaster Internships. Whether you're already a certified diver or never been in scuba gear, we have a package suitable for your needs. Age is also no barrier, we have a minimum requirement of 18 years old, however, the other side of the scale has no restriction.
You will be guided closely through the PADI courses by one of our PADI Instructors. We will gradually build your confidence and you will learn what life is like as a PADI Divemaster. Throughout your internship we will show you how to guide dives and assist your instructors on diving courses and excursions. Also ensuring the equipment is cleaned and maintained and of course you need to obtain those dives! Our well experienced team will be available to you to make sure you have a great time and we offer plenty of assistance.
Divemaster Internship placements are limited and is offered on a first come first serve basis, along with the accommodation. The Canary Islands have an all year round climate so the dive centre is operational throughout the year, which allows you to choose when is best to complete the internship. The courses start as and when you would like, ideally we like to start at the beginning or mid month, but dates can be flexible.
If you aren’t PADI certified, this isn’t an issue. We accept crossovers from a range of different diving organisations, including BSAC, SSI, FEDAS, NAUI, SSA…
The diving internship is mainly conducted in English, however if this is not your first language all study materials can be provided in most languages. We have had a huge variety of nationalities complete the diving courses and internships with us already and we have had no language barrier issues. Basic English is required and used throughout the course, so you could also improve your English skills too.
To enable you to enrol on the internship you must:
- Be 18 years old or above
- Be fit for diving
- Be able to swim
- Have no pre-existing medical conditions that would not allow you to dive.
We have three main options for different internships, please click the tabs below to explore an option that would best suit you.
Become a PADI Pro, and start your diving career. These 6 weeks of your life will be awesome.
During your 6 weeks of being with us at the diving centre we ask you to join us between 5/6 days a week. A typical day starts at 8.30am and we then prepare and load equipment so we can head out diving from the boat or beach. We generally complete 2 morning dives and return at the dive centre around 1.30 / 2pm. Depending on the days we can head out for an afternoon dive or complete independent study. Tank filling and equipment washing is too part of the internship, however you are not classed as slaves and we all help out in this part of the day. Our days finish approx. 5pm, but depending on how busy we are times may change either way.
Throughout your 6 weeks with us we slot in your diving courses and you work closely alongside one of our instructors.
There is options to complete speciality diving courses at a reduced price. Please ask and enquire for more information on this.
